 Dear Marc:

 Today the 27^th of October during the afternoon hours another attempted attack on Itamar was prevented.  This was made possible by your assistance in the purchase and setup of our new surveillance camera system, the second one presented to Itamar in the past year.

 Close to 1pm, there was a perimeter indication from our fence, and the camera picked up a figure outside the perimeter fence.  The Security Chief of the community arrived at the location and identified a man dressed as an observant (Yishuv) Jew (Kippah “Source” Sandals).  He told him the stranger that was causing misleading “indications” to our fence and, in response, the man fled towards the village of Awarta, the same village from where the murderers of the Fogel Family lived.

 In the midst of the chase, the camera identified 4 other Arabs that also started running towards the village.  During the search by the IDF, with assistance from the camera, two of the suspects were caught and handed over for interrogation.

 We would like for your friends and supporters to fully understand that, in the “Shalit” deal, two terrorists were released to Beit Furik (located on the other side of Itamar, just minutes away).  One of them was a suicide terrorist that failed to detonate his charge while the other was a suicide terror dispatcher.

 There have also been inteigence indications of terror teams from this particular village that, due to IDF and First Response Team intervention, we now know they are simply waiting for a another “chance” to re-enter Itamar and inflict more heinous crimes upon our community.

 We would like to sincerely thank One Israel Fund and all its friends who took part in this and previous projects throughout Yehuda v’Shomron but especially those within Itamar.  The equipment which was donated by One Israel Fund has prevented attacks and truly saved lives.  It is written in the Talmud that “he who saves one life from within Israel is considered as if he has saved an entire universe” (Sanhedrin).  This is the bracha which each of you have.
