The leadership of the communities of Judea and Samaria, concerned with the aging fleet of ambulances, turned to One Israel Fund in partnership with Rescuers without Borders. A special arrangement has been made with Magen David Adom (MDA) which allows the designation of its ambulances to specific communities. Together we are able to work to answer the needs of the rapidly growing population. The only way to ensure each community receives the ambulance they require is through this specific campaign.
A total of 17 new ambulances are needed for Judea and Samaria as well as three existing standard ambulances which need to become armored. These will provide dependable, lifesaving emergency medical services to the nearly 500,000 residents who currently reside throughout Judea and Samaria. In addition, due to the difficult terrain of Judea and Samaria, certain regions are in need of specialized ambulances with four-wheel drive capability. In order to meet this need, our goal is to supply each of the 5 Regional Councils of Judea and Samaria with a 4×4 ambulance in addition to the standard ambulances listed above for a total of 22 new ambulances.
