Welcome to Kfar Etzion.

Yaron Rosenthal grows beautiful peonies and incredible juicy cherries as well as nurturing the business and tourism side of this kibbutz. Destroyed the day before the state was declared 75 years ago and rebuilt 19 years later after liberation in the 6 Day War, he speaks with Eve Harow on the community’s ongoing battles: Agro and ecological terrorism, the high cost of water, finding markets and encouraging development in an area not yet under Israeli law.  The industrial zone is thriving and people come from Jerusalem just to have a delicious meal and buy clothes and shoes, but there is much to be done. Yaron is hard working, optimistic yet realistic, and devoted to the road ahead while never forgetting the deep roots planted here long, long ago.
